Keeping up with the fast moving world of Information Technology is a significant challenge. At GNS we have in the past attempted to help staff keep up in this dynamic field by offering after-school and evening courses. These have proven fairly popular, but their one major disadvantage is the need for an already very busy staff to find time after work to attend these courses. Inevitably, some staff who would like to attend these courses cannot due to conflicting engagements.

One increasingly popular solution to this issue is to deliver courses online over the Internet. This web site is an attempt to use this exciting new approach to provide the staff at GNS with online materials that will help them use technology in a creative and effective manner.

Most of the content on this web site will consist of online video tutorials which demonstrate visually how to accomplish a task with a piece of software or hardware.

Currently there is very little content on this web site as I am just in the process of setting it up, but my goal is to add two video tutorials per week. Initially, I will start with short tutorials that cover a useful but fairly simple topic but, eventually, I would like to offer complete on-line courses that cover a particular topic in depth from beginnning to end.

I hope that you will find this website useful and I encourage you to contact me with suggestions on topics that you would like to see covered. Finally, please do let me know if you have any ideas on how this site could be improved.
